This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Has anyone here run the AP? Any thoughts, suggestions or advice that anyone can give? Note this is NOT a thread to edition war so please stick to topic.

I have not run it, but there was a newer updated version released - are you going to run that or the original?

I ran it for a while and then COVID kind of derailed our campaign. I have the hardcover version which is version 2 of the Pathfinder I version.

I plan to run the anniversary edition of the AP. If anyone has any suggestions on running it let me know.

I played through the original and had a lot of fun. Later when I was talking to the GM once the campaign ended, he mentioned that there were not enough magic items to successfully beef up the PCs for the final boss fight - so we took a Side Trek into the Rise of the Runelords AP.

Sorry that isn't very helpful, but I was a Player and not the GM.

I ran it - http://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/2013/
After that I swore I'd never run Pathfinder ever again! The PCs doubled in power every couple sessions and by the end were vastly OP for the adventure. Now I use 5e D&D for Paizo adventures.

The first two books are good, book 2 is very good. After that it gets distinctly iffy. Book 4 'Dances with Cinderwolves' made no sense and we skipped it. Book 5 was a slog. Book 6 is a decent finale but at level 12-14 my PF PCs with two powergamer players (inc a Summoner) were way way overpowered for the opposition.
