This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

For those who are fans of Greg Stafford's "King Arthur Pendragon RPG", there is a fantastic deal on right now at bundleofholding.com for pretty much every Pendragon book one could ever want.

I just bought it, and I'm extremely happy.

When I checked it earlier today it showed Paranoia. I didn't realize they sometimes run multiple bundles at once. I was heartbroken when I found that this Pendragon one is a resurrection of the bundle they ran back in June of this year. I tried to get wifey to create a character with Knights and Ladies. No dice. :(

Now it makes sense that they added another book to my DrivethruRPG account.

Oh well. Too bad they aren't reprinting some of those great books.

You can get the 5.1 core book printed on demand, but for any of the auxiliary titles you'd have to go to Greg Stafford's website, anyway. I'm not even sure if there was a print release for most of those.

You should go to GaryCon.  Period.

The new book, the Book of the Warlord, looks really awesome, but $32 for a .pdf is obscene. The document looks to be useful for not only Pendragon but other roleplaying games.  I might break down and buy the text eventually, but damn, that price is high.

Matt

I have a hard time justifying $32 for a book, let alone a PDF. Wow. At least Stafford's consistently good. Still wouldn't pay that much for a PDF, though. I hope that price is working for him. Love Pendragon.

It's a copper seller, so that's what, 100 copies?

I share your reservation, but Greg Stafford is hardly laughing himself to the bank at that price.

Try finding any new and quality roleplaying game in print format for under $35.

For me it comes down to the fact that I really like the product, and if I want to support it there's really only one way - the wallet.

$32 for a PDF does seem a bit out of touch, even for a great game like Pendragon.

For a *whack* of pdfs. That puts them at less than $5 each.

(And I got mine when it was $26.)

I think less than $5 is a more than reasonable sum to pay.

Heck, I'd love to find a new, quality RPG. Period. (Not counting D&D rewrites as new.)
