I played a campaign of Everquest that lasted a couple months. Does that count? Interestingly enough, it's a D&D-derived RPG based on a videogame that is itself based on D&D. So, I don't even know how that works...

I'll also echo my love for the Street Fighter RPG. Had a lot of fun playing that.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

Itachi

I would throw instant money for a well made Dark Souls or Bloodborne tabletop RPG.

Fragged Empire Aeternum is supposed to be this.  I'll admit, I haven't read my copy yet.

I ran a brief horror game set in the events at Black Mesa from the Half-Life series.

I was looking at the game Soma recently and thought about running a short game there, although I'm not sure whether or not I'd have the players as station crew and already aware of events or scanned/downloaded copies like the protagonist in the game who have to slowly discover what happened to the world and why they're there.

I ran a short series of sessions (about 10 sessions) using the Gamma world rules (the latest rules based on 4th edition DnD) set in the Fallout 3 setting.
I printed out lots of screenshots of various locations and read up on the world lore. Creating various monsters such as Super mutants etc.

It went quite well. People commented it was cool to play a Tabletop RPG using a setting with locations they recognised from when they actually played the game.

Exodus is supposedly the licensed Fallout RPG, which got re-branded after some kerfuffle.

That's cool, however I'm not so interested in running Fallout based settings at this stage. But it's pretty nice an RPG was created to be based on that.

Quote from: Imaginos;1074819I absolutely adore the Borderlands series, and would love to play in a game with the setting.  But part of the joy is the sheer variety in the loot drops.  Not sure someone could make something remotely comparable.  I also enjoy the setting so over-the-top and the humor.  While both of those are stylistic choices and could be difficult to replicate, they are also intrinsic to the setting.

If you find a great PnP version of Borderlands that definitely isn't a Savage Worlds adaptation, let me know.  My group would never touch Savage Worlds.

Have a look at this, although it is not exactly Borderlands. I did use Borderlands as my main source of inspiration while writing it.

SOMA is among my favorite games ever, but I can't see how it would give a good rpg session except if extreme levels of railroading don't bother you. I think Transhuman Space or Eclipse Phase would offer good opportunities to explore the same themes/issues, only in more open premises.

I have to second this.
Author of the Knights of the Black Lily RPG, a game of sexy black fantasy.
Setting: Ilethra, a fantasy continent ruled over by exclusively spiteful and bored gods who play with mortals for their sport.
System: Faithful fantasy genre simulation. Bell-curved d100 as a core mechanic. Action economy based on interruptability. Cinematic attack sequences in melee. Fortune Points tied to scenario endgame stakes. Challenge-driven Game Design.
The dark gods await.

I think the way to do it is prior to the events of the game, and the characters are team members from Omega, etc.

Currently planning an online campaign based on Grand Theft Auto.

Not sure if I want to use Tri-Stat/Big Eyes Small Mouth 1E or D20 Modern.

Remember when I said I wanted to run a Play By Post campaign based on Grand Theft Auto?

I'm actually starting it up if anyone here is interested

Also, I personally think that Fallout: New Vegas would be a good campaign setting, as would Final Fantasy XV
