This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: BrantaiEdit: BTW, thanks for your help so far, Joe.  Am I right in assuming that rolling for money every term just means one roll/year of apprenticeship?

Right, if that's what you decide a term is...It's a flexible word, after all.

I did know there was a True20 version in the works.  Is it done?

The system really isn't in bad shape.  The book really just needs a literal second edition, just a cleanup and clarification at points.

Other than char gen (which seems to be where systems seem to be the most bulky anyway) the system is pretty damn simple.  The percentile roll is a binary succeed/fail and the effect die tells you, on a scale of 1-10 how good/bad the success/failure was.

Quote from: Thanatos02I know you're working on mechanics for the actual book, but didn't you convert the whole damn thing to True20 not too long ago Brent?
I have been working on a fantasy post-apoc desert setting for True20, but it wasn't a conversion of Promised Sands.  That said, I don't think a True20 conversion would be difficult.  It might strip away a lot of the flavor if you didn't work up some sort of lifepath system, though.  I've been kicking the idea for that sort of thing around in my head, anyway, so if there's a demand for conversion rules I would certainly whip them up.
