This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Too Much Mercenary Girls, in my opinion

I doubt it will be as well written or as useful as Kevin Crawford's STARVATION CHEAP - his military campaign supplement for Stars Without Number. 90% of the book is non-system stuff that can instantly be used for Traveller (or other sci-fi / military RPG).

She's happy because the ticket will earn her enough credits to get that leg fixed.

For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Mongoose Publishing has just one in-house writer doing all their books whose style is very un-interesting. And the art department there has embraced toxic femininity. I will definitely take a look at Starvation Cheap. Ordering it now, in fact. Thank you.

Check out Suns of Gold, which is his merchant supplement.  It's excellent. I don't think that Stars Without Number will be your cup of tea system-wise, but the sandbox materials are high quality.

I'll use any book that is more about general sandboxing than about game system. I do have a lot of GURPS books even though I don't play GURPS.

GURPS is indeed the king of supplements for every other system.

I watched the video and looked at the pictures on the link you proivided. I saw one mercenary with actual blue hair in the video and there is an image of what appears to be an older mercenary if you're using blue-hairs to refer to the elderly. Why exactly is this bothering you so much?

Just for the heck, I looked at the link just now. Mongoose replaced the images.

What were the replaced images? I ask because what they had up when I replied (which is probably the "replacement" images) didn't look all that remarkable.

I live in Florida, so I know well the terror of old people behind the wheel. Although that's balanced out by them being less likely to be the assholes texting & driving.

Marchand

It's Mongoose so it will almost certainly be derivative, badly-written, and overpriced. Otherwise, not sure what the problem is here.

Huh. So I was... commenting on the replacement art?  I mean it is still very very bad.

1/10, would neither hire the Artist NOR the mercenaries depicted.
