This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ironically though dropping this type of brown nose virtue signaling is great (and hilarious) because you know who not to do a Game jam with in the future (and in the case of Monkey Genital games who not to buy off too).

Win-win really... :)

Venger as DM. He's the most neutral of the three. Then he can put Pundit and Grim in a political debate class with a Beholder teacher. 😉

I'm also good with Venger as the DM - you know the gonzo will begin at 11.

I wonder if it would be more fun to have each of them run their own games or run each other's games?

Erm, I'm not a lawyer, but aren't a least some of these statements technically defamation?

If you're the kind of person that the above statement offends, you can fuck off. If you're the kind of person that pals around with wannabe culture vulture white supremacists like RPG Pundit, wannabe satanist christian conservative transphobes like Venger Satanis, rape apologists like GrimJim, or are one of the libertarian dweebs that do free PR for the above, you can also fuck off.

And I'm not sure if the one about Venger qualifies, but it's certainly false and obviously contradictory (Satanist, but Christian?), like these people openly don't give a fuck what the truth is. They just like to declare shit into the ether. Not that this is a revelation for me, but every time I see open brazen falsehood (or "Anti-Truths", like Jordan Peterson calls them) in writing it just grinds my gears.

I believe this constitutes defamation. It is naming specific individuals with false, defamatory labels in the context of their careers. They may not care at this point. Defamation is ubiquitous if you happen to ever dissent from the Prog consensus.

I reported them to itch.io, since this appears to be in violation of their ToS. We'll see what happens. Maybe if more people report it, it will give them a headache at least. Companies tend to get twitchy when they face public backlash, but do nothing if  no one complains.

I'd LOVE to see a defamation suit brought against them if only to waste the time and money of you absolute neanderthals.

Defamation lawsuits are LUDICOUSLY hard to win and take actual boatloads of evidence that actual damage to someone's reputation was done which directly resulted in a loss of income. Given the fact that the income that these schmucks make even in their best year the BEST they could EVER hope to recover from a successful suit wouldn't even be enough to cover the cost of lunch for whatever grifting attorneys who would agree to work with them.

Nothing would be sweeter than to see them waste hundreds of hours of their time and get caught up in court for absolutely zero chance of a payout.

Sometimes the reward is not in the payout but in the satisfaction of stopping actions like this in the future.

Well, shows us what drives you. Merely the threat of a lawsuit does wonders, I mean, after all both sides use that tactic all the time.

And apparently, since you're an internet lawyer I'll take your word for it./s

If someone self-describes as the final boss of internet shitlords and makes points of spreading their materials to piss people off, I'd think proving that their reputation had been meaningfully tarnished is going to be rather hard.

I would be happy to donate to a fund to sue them.

I'm guessing others would be too.

It would be funny If the 3 of them ended up owning frog underpants or whatevert the name of the company is.

Because that and being called a nazi white supremacist are exactly the same thing...

One is said in jest, the other is said in hatred in order to ruin reputation and harm business.

The only one that can throw a stone at this is Vengar as Pundit is in south america and Jim's a brit.

But it doesn't harm his business. Those that buy his products are not less likely to buy them because some assholes are calling him a Nazi, and those that agree that he's a Nazi were never going to buy his products. There's also the large crowd that just doesn't give a shit one way or another, and here again, no harm was done.

If being called a Nazi caused him some financial harm, like his products were dropped by DTRPG or his publisher dumped him because hes being called a Nazi, that would be different.
