The Original Rules from the 70s still rock.  Modern attempts to better explain them, also rock.

I am back, digging into OD&D via White Box FMAG; and amazed at how much D & D is packed into that tiny little book.  It's amazing.
I need you to roll a perception check.....

No, it doesn't have the original rules from the 1970s. It's 100% OSR, so it's old school in spirit rather than age.

Since the bundle isn't super clear, here's a quick summary of the full package (I bought it a couple days ago):
  • Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea: Core box + 3 adventures
  • AD&D: 1 module (3rd party)
  • B/X D&D: 1 module (3rd party)
  • Castles & Crusades: 2 core books (M&T is 1 printing behind) + 3 modules
  • D&D5: 3 modules (3rd party, 2 are converted from C&C)
  • OSR magazines: 6 (issues of Knockspell and Fight On!)
  • Swords & Wizardry: Core (Complete), 3 monster books (plus tokens and update), 2 settings (Midderlands and Midgard, both 3rd party), 1 megadungeon and the sandbox style underworld nearby (Rappan Athuk, Cyclopean Deeps, supporting material), 7 hexcrawl modules, 4 other modules (3/4th are 3rd party)
  • Victorious (C&C based supers): Core, 4 supplements
Lot of stuff, but pretty random. About a dozen publishers, but heavily biased toward Frog God (and S&W). Many adventures, and the monster books add up to more than 1,700 pages.
