This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Currently playing - HERO 6e hex crawl, heavily modified, in a homebrew world of considerable detail. Thus far it has been interesting. (playing online via discord and Roll20).

Currently Running - SWADE modern horror, one shot turned into a regular thing while we kick the tires on some new rules for a SWADE project. Also, learning Foundry VTT so I can dive in and program that sucker. Seriously loving this VTT. It's very slick. Way less clunky than Roll20. (use Discord for video/audio)

I play via Discord and Roll 20.  Every other week I ref a Twilight:2000 game.  Monday nights is my many-years-running 1e AD&D game.  12 players, quite a lot of fun.

Running two games, one using Cthulhu Dark and one using my own Frankenstein’s monster of a system. One is a family game, the other family and friends. Both in person.

Playing 5e every other week with friends and the old lady. It is our adults only game. This one is unfortunately on Roll20 until we all get chipped.

Playing 5th ed solo campaign. Kinda to scratch the physcial rpging itch but also to play around with ideas.
None of my groups that I know of are doing in-person gaming, and I really do not like playing TT online.

  • Oh dear, how sad, nevermind
I was DM'ing 5e Tomb of Annihilation. But after almost a year of Discord, I wanted a break, so currently on hold.

So at the moment I'm playing Lost Crown of Neverwinter, a 4E scenario . The GM rigged an overhead camera over the playmat, with all the minis, so the 4E tactical combat goes quite well.

We are also on a much longer hiatus from playing in a WFRP (3rd) Enemy Within campaign (because the 3rd edition rules with all the cards & special dice & widgets & gadgets don't port well to online play).

I'm coming on close to a year of playing Masks of Nyarlathotep in Call of Cthulhu, played online with my old Thursday night group.

We got to get back some former players who had moved away, so that was fun, even though I prefer in-person gaming.

Running Forgotten Realms Damara 1359 DR sandbox, currently 14 players across 3 groups (some overlap). Two weekly 5e D&D games on Roll20 and one group 1e AD&D Play By Post, all adventuring in the same area:

Two groups for past year both via Zoom supported by Roll20

One with my regular club.  Weekly where we switch up games and groups every couple of months.  Currently playing Rune Quest but have played and GM'd a bunch of different games over the past year including Numenera, D&D5 Pendragon, L5R and Mutants and Masterminds.  Been great and had a chance to playtest a few new releases for a few games.

The other with friends and family.  WFRP 4th edition rules.   Set in an alternative Warhammer World where the End Times and Age of Sigmar never occured.  it is set quite a few years after that date.  Using alot of 1st edition source material.

Most of the group haven't really roleplayed before or know anything about the Warhammer World and I haven't GMd WFRP in nearly 10 years so it has been great getting back into it whilst introducing the hobby to new players.  The campaign has been a lot of fun (and funny).  It has really exemplified the old story of WFRP; At first you think you're playing D&D and then find out you are playing Call of Cthulhu.  And then later it dawns on you, you are actually playing it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (+ beastmen).

This group's members are spread across the UK and beyond so if we continue past June it will need to be online anyway.

That's a bit of a classic.  I played an edition of MoN in 2013 over the course of a year on Monday evenings in a quiet UK country pub.  The publican was one of the PCs in the group. There were virtually no customers on Mondays so we had a great atmosphere for CoC and beer on tap :-)

I am running Traveller Pirates of Drinax (a handful of sessions in, going quite well), using my own unholy version of Traveller extrapolated from the MgT 1 playtest rules. In person gaming only. We finished up our Rolemaster game via Zoom when we went into lockdown, but waited until we came out to get Traveller rolling. In the interim, we had an occasional catchup for boardgames using Discord and Tabletop Simulator.

In the background, I'm also working steadily and occasionally on an ACKS campaign that I plan to run next.

Haven't had much luck here lately, though I did get to play in an OD&D one shot on discord that was pretty cool. I'm hoping to start running something online here in the next couple of months, we've got a baby due in April though so my expectations of gaming time are firmly managed.

does roll20 do D6 system?

I don't know if you're asking if it specifically supports the d6 system.
Any dice rolling works like "/roll 3d6" causes the system to roll 3d6, add them up, and post the result in the chat.

does roll20 do D6 system?

Nominally - it has D6 Fantasy/Space/Adventure PC sheets, and it can do the wild die etc. Obviously support is limited.
I was running Mini Six on Roll20 which isn't supported but some players used the D6 Fantasy PC sheet ok.
