I'll play.
Reign Enchiridion - my group all complained that they were getting burned out on d20, so I bought everyone copies for christmas and had them all listed as backers.
DungeonMorph Dice - I got the cards, they seemed more useful to me.
Chronicles of the Void - weird scifi thing with lots of alien races and an ancient evil awakening to destroy civilization.  AND holodeck adventures in fantasy worlds
Better Angels - weird supers by Greg Stolze. You are a villain posessed by a demon, so you have to pull off imaginative crimes to keep the demon from getting bored, taking over and killing everyone around.
13 True Ways - Expansion book for 13th Age
Tenra Bansho Zero - the "FIRST" japanese TTRPG to be translated into english. (ok, so Maid beat it, but TBZ was in the works longer)
Mutants and Masterminds 10th Anniversary editon - I'm a nut for supers games.  have been ever since I started taking antidepressants.
Fate Core - backed it before I found out what kind of a person Fred Hicks is.  sorry Pundit.  still a nice system.
Busty Barbarian Bimbos - the name says it all, and as a heterosexual male, I refuse to apologize for being attracted to the female form.
Lords of Gossamer and Shadow - Amber Diceless RPG without the Amber setting, still a good book.
Golden Sky Stories - cute and family friendly japanese TTRPG.
Exalted 3rd edition - fantasy supers.
OVA - people on big purple were raving about how this was better then BESM.  Having now read both, I disagree, I'll stick with BESM.
Chuubo's Marvelous Wish Granting Engine - if people think the Exalted Kickstarter was mismanaged, they got nothing on Chuubo.  (to be fair the issues only came about because of how the chinese printers used the kickstarter funds to pay off the owner's personal debts, rather then print the books.)
Tales from the Floating Vagabond - I have 1st edition love it, wanted to support the second edition.
Eldritch RPG - thought first edition was interesting, 2nd ed is more of the same, only this time with a setting!
Corporia - King Arthur meets Shadowrun!
The Strange - I thought it looked cool, and it grabbed me more then Numenera
Kung Fury - not an RPG, but too crazy not to back it.
DNDizzle - 80's hip hop culture in a fantasy setting, all that time watching Yo! MTV Raps has to be good for something!  (Ed Lover Dance not included)
TimeWatch - was sold on the pitch.  big book cool art.
Far Away Land - scratching my Adventure Time itch.
Deluxe Mage - before supers I was really into the WoD. Mage was my favorite of the games
Kromore - set on a world with a timeline covering 10,000 years, starting in a high fantasy setting, and going to space opera with stops in low fantasy, steampunk, and  cyberpunk along the way.
Fragged Empire - Humanity creates human 2.0, the new creation declares war on humans. That was then, now you are the survivors of the war trying to build a new civilization.
No Soul Left Behind - campaign for Better Angels.  Welcome to High School.
Karthun - I like the comic d20 monkey, liked the fantasy setting the MC created this is the book that describes it.
Feng Shui 2 - Electric Boogaloo!  the first edition was a riot, so this one was a no brainer.
Paranoia - I'd tell you why I backed it but you aren't cleared for that.
The Underground - an RPG set in the Sam and Fuzzy universe.
Deadlands Stone and a Hard Place - what? it's Deadlands.
Strike - based largely off of D&D 4th ed's system but vastly slimmed down.
U-Dice - electronic die roller in a cube the size of a quarter. neat little toy.
human(ish) -WoD + FASERIP
Infinity - looked cool, the closest thing to a game store in town has a lot of posters, and people are playing it every time I go there, so I wanted to see what the deal was.
Delta Green - What, it is Delta Green, I'm not gonna back Delta Green?
Aqualerre - well Pundit likes it, so that's good enough for me...  (and it looks hella cool)
Shinobigami - ninja clans fighting it out for survival in high school
Aaron Alison's Strilke Force - 'nuf said.
Kult: Divinity Lost - because the World of Darkness is just too friendly a place.
Godbound - well, let's see what the big deal about Kevin Crawford is...
Emissary - 1 part Dune, 1 part Incal + Metabarons = space fantasy weirdness. just got the pdf, but haven't looked at it much.
Storypath cards - 20 years I've been looking for Wimsey cards, now I finally find them!
Savage Rifts - I love me some Savage Worlds, never tried Rifts, but have heard nightmarish stories about the system.
The Dark Eye - just because I'm an american doesn't mean I don't want to try as many foreign RPGs as I can
Villains and Vigilanties 3.0 - because V&V is supposed to rock and now I can finally get a copy that gives the money to the creators.
Invisible Sun - I paid a buck so I could get the news about its development, and my dollar made all the difference in it being funded!
Deadlands - both Good Intentions (need to round out the plot point adventures) and the anniversary edition.
50 sHAdes of VORpal - meh, it was $5

not listed, a few comics (including Paradox Girl, which is a riot) and several projects I backed at the dollar level to keep abreast of the development of the products.  I also left out the things that didn't reach funding, or were canceled, like the U-Dice 2.0 which had far more options for die types, and rolling formulas.

Shame about Tales of the Floating Vagabond - sounds like that's fallen down a medical black hole, schedule-wise.

The Butcher

#77
Quote from: The Butcher;882683Backed Godbound because (1) Kevin Crawford and (2) the perverse joy of doing Exalted with an OD&D hack that's better than the original system, let alone 3e. Downloaded the 1.1 draft and can't wait to read it.

Got it, and already three sessions into what's shaping to be a damn fine campaign.

Quote from: The Butcher;882683Got an update from Raiders of R'lyeh, a new version apparently with even more world info. Also can't wait to read it.

Still waiting on DCC 4th printing (finally going to own this in hardcopy) but already in posession of a bunch of adventures.

Still waiting on Lairs & Encounters for ACKS, though I love the draft. In fact I've been meaning to post about some of these concepts in the forums, but haven't found the time or inclination.

Still waiting on all three. Shame on y'all.

The only thing I've backed since was Savage Rifts because how could I not? Looking forward to giving it a spin.

I was sorely tempted with Mutant Crawl Classics but $25 PDF was kind of a dealbreaker.

The Butcher

Broke my self-imposed KS fast with these three projects, all at once.

The Umerican Survival Guide is a badass post-apocalyptic setting for DCC. Sure, Mutant Crawl Classics looks sexy AF but USG feels more gonzo (nearly Rifts levels of madness — I swear this is one Dragon PC away from a Rifts heartbreaker) and game-table-ready. PDF pledge but considering a hard copy upgrade.

Heroic Fantasy & Barbaric Conquerors is an ACKS double whammy combining a big toolbox (Heroic Fantasy Companion) with a gritty science fantasy setting (Barbarian Conquerors of Kanahu). Fun stuff, and this is one of the few brands I have any loyalty towards. Physical book pledge.

The Sword, the Crown and the Unspeakable Power is a PbtA epic dark fantasy game. Yes, I'm playing PbtA now. It really hit it off with my group. The playbooks and moves look really neat. PDF only pledge.

The Butcher

Oh yeah, lest I forget:

Quote from: The Butcher;920723Got it, and already three sessions into what's shaping to be a damn fine campaign.

Game crashed as group torn apart, away from the game table, by fucking politics of all things.

But Godbound is a great game. Superheroics plus (simplified, abstract) domain management in a crapsack world. Will definitely run this again.

Quote from: The Butcher;920723Still waiting on all three. Shame on y'all.

DCC arrived in a big ol' box and it's a tour-de-force.

L&E is a kickass little book. Right up there with Dyson's Delves in utility. Also nicely ACKS/S&S-accented.

RoR seems to have released definitive PDFs. Holding out for hard copies (and hoping Quentin is better).

Skarg

I think I've only backed three RPGs:

ADOM Lite - the limited collector's edition pen & paper RPG adaptation of the Roguelike Ancient Domains of Mystery

Aquelarre (English translation of Spanish RPG)

GURPS Dungeon Fantasy

Nihilistic Mind

I recently received the Dungeon Dealer - Maze Deck 2 deck as well as the Castle Builder deck from Justin Sirois' recent Kickstarter. Got to use the Dungeon Dealer - Maze Deck 2 last Saturday and it worked out pretty nicely as far as creating a random maze for players to explore and fight their way through. Not sure I will use it as is, but it makes for a great improvised delve. I still prefer prepared adventures tailored to my group, but it's definitely a great tool.

I also received the box set for Lotus Dimensions, which is really interesting, but I have not had a chance to really delve into it. It promises to provide a system where non-violence is the preferred resolution method. I really liked that concept, since I have so many games about the use of violence as a resolution to problems. I am still awaiting the set of adventures.

Still receiving a steady stream of updates and PDFs from 7th Sea 2e.

I also recently backed Cold Shadows, Innocents RPG (it was $1!) and Companions' Tale.
Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).

Nihilistic Mind

Oh yeah, and I'm still waiting for my Prince Valiant RPG PDF. Kinda miffed that it's taking so fucking long.
Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).

Motorskills

Quote from: Motorskills;834619I promised OHT I would contribute more to the gaming side of this site, so here's my list of things I have backed in the past couple of years. I've pulled back a little in the past six months, mostly due to blowing most of my gaming budget on the Conan Miniatures game....

ACKS - everything I think, including the new starter module. I mostly got it because of Kiero's excellent Actual Play descriptions of his Ancient Mediterranean hack.

Blades In the Dark - everyone is raving about this. I like the idea, but don't really know much about it

Nefertiti Overdrive - awesome, love the simple, cinematic system, love the setting, hugely evocative.

Sorcerers of Ur-Turuk - Graham Bottley is fantastic, hard-working and communicative. This is a wierd-but-wonderful magic system. As good as it is, the highlight is the use of watercolours for the art, painted by a friend of the Bottley family. Can't think of another product with art like that.

Paranoia RPG - I never loved this as much as others did, too silly for me. That presumably explains why I splashed out a huge chunk of wonga on this, the "join us in New York for a game" level.

Deluxe V20 Dark Ages - I love history, and had a blast running a campaign for my homies back in the day. Very much looking forward to cradling this beast in my arms.

Joe Dever's Lone Wolf - the title is presumably to differentiate it from some manga that's out there. As a huge fan of the game-books back in theday, I have high hopes for this thing, splashed out a chunk of change on it...but wasn't quite committed enough to cough up for the Kai Cloak that was on offer as an add-on.

Designers & Dragons - not strictly a game of course, but a must-have product, a monster piece of research. Compelling reading all the way through.

The Great Kingdom - again, not a game, but rather a movie about the birth of D&D. This project remains stillborn as a result of copyright issues or summat.

Strays - a kid-friendly RPG by someone that posts here. Saw the name, backed it in a heartbeat. It actually looks good too. :)

A World of Dew - A Samurai Noir Roleplaying Game - I don't know the game this is a descendant of (Blood & Honor), but this looks great. There was a positive review recently, which has guilt-tripped me into reading the book properly once I get back home.

He Who laughs Last - A Cthulhu Dark RPG scenario - not read it yet. It was cheap, so I backed it.

Delta Green: Tales From Failed Anatomies - Arc Dream walk on water, if they publish, I will buy.

TimeWatch: GUMSHOE Investigative Time Travel RPG - looks a blast, and the community is super-vibrant. Sadly I haven't had a chance to really get into it yet. Would love to check this out at a convention somewhen.

Scarlet Heroes RPG - I don't even remember backing this....

Adventures in the East Mark - The Red Box - Spanish "BECMI" thingy. Very pretty.
There was some kind of meltdown between the Spanish and American partners and the Blue Box subsequently never(?) materialised. There are already Blue, Green, and Black boxes in Spanish, so we remain in hope.

Torchbearer - easier than Burning Wheel, but still a bit of a brainmelter. Fascinating experiment though, I love this game.

Blade of the Iron Throne - Riddle of Steel reboot apparently. Didn't light my fire, but I should probably revisit it at some point. I remember they received some backlash when they announced that they weren't going to do any more updates on Kickstarter, you had to go to their website. I think they backed away from that fairly sharpish, at least until the product launched.

Sorcerer Upgrade - one of those Ron Edwards' storygames so beloved of this place. I liked the ambition, but the game itself left me cold.

So what you got? :)

QuoteBook of the Righteous for 5e.

Conan RPG (just the basic book, couldn't justify what I would have liked to have to backed).

Creature Decks for 5e

Delta Green (went big on this one). Playing in a PbP on TBP. Missed out on modules at Gen Con, but have signed up to a couple of seminars. The Agent's Handbook was released recently, and it is spectacular.

World War Cthulhu: Cold War. I love Cthulhu, I love cold war espionage.

Human-ish. Graham Bottley's stripped-down WoD.
Graham is the guy behind the excellent Maelstrom: Domesday, which should have been in the first list.

More recently...

Cold Shadows

Gods and Goddesses for 5e

Sun Spots - 1920s Call of Cthulhu adventure, progressing nicely

Zweihander - not seen it yet, but it is a brute weighing in at 600 pages...

Beckett's Diary - I think I got this because of my backing for V20 Dark Ages

I now have Blades in the Dark, and I want to love it....but....

Quote from: Nihilistic Mind sums it up quite wellCurrently playing this and it feels like a combo RPG/board game. I like the setting, but the game itself is not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I had fun when I played in a one-shot, now that I'm playing a campaign, I find that a lot of my enthusiasm has faded.

Paranoia has landed (I haven't unboxed it yet). I never wrote the project off, but it definitely veered closer to "dead in the water" than anything else I've backed. My track record is very solid, I've been careful and lucky.

Cold War Cthulhu looks great after a brief skim...but I'm not sure I will ever get round to playing it. Delta Green on the other hand....so good. Really, really looking forward to the Handler's Handbook(?) that is coming in the next couple of months.
"Gosh it's so interesting (profoundly unsurprising) how men with all these opinions about women's differentiation between sexual misconduct, assault and rape reveal themselves to be utterly tone deaf and as a result, systemically part of the problem." - Minnie Driver, December 2017

" Using the phrase "virtue signalling" is \'I\'m a sociopath\' signalling ". J Wright, July 2018

Simlasa

I pledged for Threadbare, a Dungeon World related game that I'm in for the concept and the fact that the author is local talent. It's drifted a bit past its due-by date but she's still putting out updates and I expect it'll be out this summer.
Also, the DCC Lankhmar box... but that's Goodman and I have no doubts I'll like the final product.

K Peterson

I've been dormant with Kickstarter for about a year. Conservative after being burnt a few times. But I did break down this week and pledged on the "Alternity 2017" Kickstarter.
