SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Black Vulmea

Quote from: Black Vulmea;641569They have an opportunity to review the informal playtests and critiques of Maliszewski's draft posted on blogs and forums and change it up, if they're so inclined.
Quote from: Fiasco;644607We now have his approval to publish both the LL version and the Adventurer Conqueror King System version.

We'll use the LL version to present James' original vision for Dwimmermount. Working with his draft and notes on editing, and our conversations about further development, the LL version will present the dungeon according to the plan which would have led to a March release if personal issues had not intervened.

As discussed in the last update, the ACKS version will be driven by fans inspired by James' writing but adding further development and playtesting.
Called it.

Quote from: The Traveller;644630I dunno, he paid the money back, a shocking development in its own right, people are getting their stuff, is there any need to rake over the coals more than that?

James is out of the picture, Autarch is going to fulfill all the promises, belatedly, so the teapot is now tempest-free. Shut 'er down.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

Probably the smartest option. If either version ends up half way decent you can always  purchase it later. Once it actually exists.

Dwarvish is boxy, by the way. '스귀굴리'는 업서요. (Is not 'squiggly'.)

That may be the best description of elf and dwarf languages that I've ever read.

Damn, you're really out on a limb there.
Don\'t forget rule no. 2, noobs. Seriously, just don\'t post there. Those guys are nuts.

Speak your mind here without fear! They\'ll just lock the thread anyway.

Alex (amacris) and I are doing an Ask Me Anything at Reddit's r/rpg community this Saturday, May 4th at 3 pm Eastern Daylight Time and expect to field some questions about Dwimmermount. I'll post the link when it goes live for those interested in past madness, current status, and future plans.
