This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Running Necessary Evil Breakout with Other System

I was thinking of running the new Necessary Evil Breakout plot point campaign with something other than Savage Worlds, which I like just fine but want to try something else, even lighter if possible. Here are some systems I own but have never run. Which of these, if any, would you recommend given the conversion work required?

ICONS
HeroQuest 2e
BASH
Something else you name

Thanks!

In NE the players are Villians or B-List Heroes who are trying to fight an alien invasion.

I think the big challenge is the conversion of the antagonists to whatever the new system is the conversion of the antagonists. This is trivial for HeroQuest, but I'm not sure how much fun a supers game would be in a system that hand-wavy.

I'd go with ICONS. It's a simple enough system that is easy enough to convert characters to if you already understand Savage Worlds pretty well. It helps that Breakout is set at a lower power level than the original Necessary Evil so I don't think you'll have any extraordinarily powerful NPCs to worry about.
