This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Gotcha.  We've played that the initial purchase of the component pouch had everything (within reason) you needed for the spells you knew at purchase time (new character), but subsequently learned spells needed to have the appropriate components added to the pouch, and the pouch itself isn't bottomless.

Eschew Materials handwaves the need to manage the contents of the component pouch for the cheap stuff, but not the expensive stuff.
