This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Complimentary aesthetics
« on: November 13, 2020, 11:08:00 AM »
Who do you think would work well with me?  Looking for someone to compliment my style, rather than clash with it.

Kort'thalis Publishing is looking for a talented layout and dungeon map-maker (yep, lost more peeps).  Opening this question up to the community, what sort of vibe should I be going for?  Where should Kort'thalis Publishing go next in terms of aesthetics?

Also, if you know of anybody, feel free to let them (or me) know.  Thanks!

As far as aesthetics I like where Cha'alt is going and I think more science-fantasy, Heavy Metal magazine (and movie) is a great direction myself. More planets, weird magic, freaky aliens, that is an avenue few have trodden so far. Something Moebius/Syd Mead -esque would be amazing to see as a setting.

You are not getting my superb layout guy.  :P
Ancient Vaults & Eldritch Secrets

Sans la colère. Sans la haine. Et sans la pitié.

Jag är inte en människa. Det här är bara en dröm, och snart vaknar jag.

Running: Barbarians of Lemuria, Black Sword Hack
Playing: AD&D 1st Edition.

Thanks!  I agree, that's a strong direction and a natural fit for me.  Sorry I won't be getting your superb layout guy, though.  :(

Venger, hunt through Fiverr and Deviant Art. You don't need someone who's done RPGs, just someone talented and cheap (by US prices).

As for vibe, you have a signature style. Keep exploring what interests you and what excites you. Don't change to chase an audience. Just find more like-minded weirdos who like what you do.
