About the same.  Game twice a week, there are five campaigns on the go, so we rotate - two that run exclusively mid-week, and three that rotate on saturdays.  1 4ed, 1 Changeling/Mage nWoD, 1 Shadowrun, and 2 3.5 that only run wednesdays.
As for quality of gaming - hard to say.  Its probably about the same.

Abyssal Maw

I game about the same amount.

The quantity of my gaming is absolutely the same: weekly, on Thursdays.

The quality of my gaming has changed but not in a "better/worse" way; I spend more time working with totally new players now, and previously I stuck with a more tightly defined gaming group. A few members of my previous groups resisted bringing in new members, and were absolutely aghast at the thought of gaming in public. I think I am getting more out of being part of the wild-world of gaming now.  We run a game night at the store, we put open invites on a yahoo group. I've met tons of people this way.

Eventually I may go back to forming a regular campaign with a set group membership, and I already have the players picked out who I'd like to invite. But I'm greatly enjoying this newer format.

My gaming has been about the same amount as last year - usually once a week.  I must admit to mainly just going through the motions and haven't really gotten excited about running things this year though.  So far this year, I've run BFRP, HackMaster, and D&D 3.5.  We have also gotten in some good boardgames (Zombies, Doom, Arkham Horror) a few times this year, which is a change for my group.  I hoping to change things up after the new years with Mongoose Traveller.

Mcrow

hard to say for me.

2004-2006 , I think, I played more because I hooked up with Bill's group when he lived here, plus I had at least one other weekly game , sometimes two, going at the same time.

Bill moved, I got married, and became a dad. So 2007-present has be much less gaming.

overall, I'd say it's an even split.

The Shaman

Less gaming.

As in none at the moment.

I attempted to get a Top Secret game going, but no luck. I'd like to play Flashing Blades or Boot Hill again, but I seriously doubt I'll get any takers for those, either.

I could start a Traveller game or a D&D game and have a reasonable shot at players, but my systems of choice are CT and AD&D 1e, not MgT or 3.x or 4e D&D, so again my pool of potential players is pretty small. And to be honest, neither of these really excites me all that much - historical is my preferred genre by far.

I'm not a happy gamer right now.
On weird fantasy: "The Otus/Elmore rule: When adding something new to the campaign, try and imagine how Erol Otus would depict it. If you can, that\'s far enough...it\'s a good idea. If you can picture a Larry Elmore version...it\'s far too mundane and boring, excise immediately." - Kellri, K&K Alehouse

I have a campaign wiki! Check it out!

Currently struggling to keep a Star Wars game going because the players are being dicks about honoring their scheduling commitments.

I've become the dad of two little precious girls between the end of 2005 and now, plus I crossed the Atlantic to a place where I only know my in-laws. So it's the conjonction of being very busy and away from my old bunch of friends that conspired to bring my gaming to a halt. I managed to join a group on a weekly basis during something like three months lately and I enjoyed the role playing. But I resigned both because of the new baby and because they play mostly D&D and I really don't care for it (whatever the version).

I hope I can find a non-D&D centric group in the near future

Captain Rufus

Quote from: Aos;271858Hell, I could make anything work with two players.

I just like having more people to run off of so there can be more RP and less Braunstein.  (Though I may run AT 43 Tactics this year even if we can't recruit more people and its a Braunstein.  FFG's clearance sale pretty much gave me nearly complete armies for 2 of the 4 existing factions.  That's plenty of things for the players to fight in Space Korean War...)

I could be in a 4th ed D&D game but I don't like that system at all and the host is a douche and its on a day I play Warhammer 40K.  Im trying to recruit some of them, and may even join their Shadowrun game on a different day if they make the offer.

Plus I am kinda tired of having to be the rules bitch and want to just sit down and PLAY for a change instead of having to buy and read everything.  My novel backlog is insanely large, and some of these so called pulp novels the retroblogs go agog for have listed a few that sound cool too.  I'd have time to read, and I could even get some painting done while playing.

Warthur

About as much gaming as previously, of comparable quality. Too close to call.
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

PaladinCA

I game about the same amount of time as I did in 2004, but the gaming quality has never been better than the past year and a half (new group).

I was on the edge of leaving this silly hobby in early 2007 to.

Imperator

As I moved to a new town in August, I am playing a bit less these days, but the quality and fun are great. I have a weekly game on Sundays, and an irregular one on one 007 game with the girlfriend. Things are going to get even better next year.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Balbinus

Quantity remains a weekly three hour game, though now we also try to boardgame once a month on a separate day which is a bonus, quality remains consistently high.

Ned the Lonely Donkey

Much less. I've had another baby since then and I'm doing and MA, so I've had to cut back. In 2004 I was playing a weekly game on a Wednesday and a Sunday game every other week, so it's been good to recharge my batteries a bit. My irregular SotC group appears to have self-destructed, but I've got a couple of other offers which I might pursue for a more active 2009.

Absolutely nil. The only games played in Iowa seems to be D&D, WOD or Rifts. I came close to playing Rifts a couple years back, but the character creation process + difficulties in life put that to a halt.

Sadly little to no difference. There was a time (college) that I played quite frequently. I actually had a gaming group that met weekly we played several different games and many of them lasted for years. Now that group has split up and any new groups I try to forge falls apart quickly for many reasons.

In 2004 I was not playing at all. Now I have just started my first new campaign in many many years. We have played one time and I hope we get to play at least once more.

SIGH

I miss college.
