Evil squidheads in 4-dimensional squidships, PC's as bioware badasses, DIY clones, crabclaw grafts and chitin armour, the Purge, the dumb politics - Trade vs Religion, FLYING SPIDER MONKEY companions, portable bio-vats, THE VOID, the crystal ships of the aliens with loooonnng names, people shunning hardtech for bio, THE SCIENCE OF DARK MATTER.

Long-time favorite setting.  Best mix of science and technology (sort of) that I've seen.  Plus some tastes of Cthulhu tossed in.

Dang.  I need to go read that again and see if I can work elements into my current campaign...

Sounds pretty cool. Written by Monte Cook doesnt hurt either. As I have become a little bit of a fanboy. Since getting Iron Heros.

It was mad stuff, Cook ejaculates stringy white ropes of imagination all over each page, by the end you plastered in Monte's mess.

you could not imagine an average person's daily routine - everyone was a softech-slinging metamorph - so you stuck to epic fights in skyclippers or with Elder Worms. Great Fun but so Gonzo.

God, I remember getting this book 15 years ago.  I thought it was a 'science fantasy' campaign setting that would combine Rolemaster and Spacemaster.  It did, sort of, but it was completely different than what I expected.  

A crazy setting.  Fun to read, but I was never tempted actually to run it.  I still have it stored somewhere ...
