This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Any Christmas Gaming?

Quote from: RPGPundit;1016532This year has been tricky mainly because Christmas/New-year fall on weekends.

Is Monday at the weekend now? I'll have to tell my boss!;)

My group has been off since the week before Christmas. We'll pick up again in the new year. We had a one-shot game before we all left. It was a complete clusterfuck. Fun nonetheless.

I had a little time off so over the break, yeah, but not much roleplaying:(

So far:
2 large games of LOTR SBG (GW Lord of the rings miniatures)
Dropzone commander (Si fi minis)
Twilight imperium (big damn board game)
Poker
Cyclades (board game)
made Pendragon characters and talked about running the GPC... but I think we decided on traveler instead (which  haven't run since the early eighties)

Quote from: RPGPundit;1015823My gaming group was cancelled this weekend.  But is anyone hardcore enough to be gaming over Christmas?

I had an online game the day after Christmas (not sure if that counts). I have to say though, something about gaming on the heels of Christmas and eating tons of sugar the day before did feel a little odd. I was quite sluggish and forgot a lot of details from the previous sessions. And it looks like my Sunday game may be on for tomorrow (looks like we have at least two players, though I don't yet know if everyone will make it).

If it lands Friday-Monday, that's going to be a 3-day weekend most of the time as you get a day off regardless.  With 3-day weekends people plan stuff they can't do normally, so no gaming a lot of the time.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar
