This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I got a promo email from Precis Intermedia decribing this new(?) game:

"Designed to bring back the wonder and excitement of that very first roleplaying experience, combat is quick, fun, and full of excitement -- the rest of the game is built just the same. Lair of Sword & Sorcery is meant to played, not learned or studied. Creating your own characters takes no time. Creating new monsters and villains is also a snap. The quick-paced and straightforward rules follow this same pattern for a fluid gaming experience."

I looked at the preview and it looks interesting. I get a HeroQuest boardgame feel, like the game is a RPG/boardgame hybrid which actually sounds very fun. I flux between "theater of the mind" and "all toys on the table" style gaming so I'm open to something very minis/terrain oriented.

Anyone play this game?

Love to hear much more.

Never played it but it sounds cool...

So I'm going to take a punt on it as the pdf is so cheap.

Ditto. 5 buckaroos well spent I would bet.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.
