We have the answer. Just produce well sculpted female miniatures along with whatever else you have.

No. A bubble comes into being when the market price for a good or service exceeds its natural value, and continues to increase purely by momentum, whether that be popular sentiment or loose regulations or whatever. The property bubble and the dot com bubble were two excellent examples - there was no underlying reason for these things to spike sharply in value but they did.
What we're witnessing here is the birth of a new economic phenomenon, the democratisation of investment, and it is a beautiful sight to behold.

Your bitterness is showing. I imagine you'd use them the same as you use every other mini, and those poses aren't any different than any other mini pose.

I'm a sucker for minis. I brought into the Reaper mini KS, and went out on a limb and did the Robotech one too. This one I'm likely going to pass on as I have no use for a bunch of Steampunk girls and they don't even have a game system for using them yet.
I do wish that whoever did these were doing Sisters of Battle for 40K, some of the individual figures look excellent and the actual 40K ones are subpar in today's market.

I'm just expressing puzzlement that there is a huge demand for a miniature of a futuristic nurse soldier putting on a glove. Or even one not putting on a glove.
I mean, what game do you use them with?
Admittedly, I don't use miniatures, but when I did, I would use them to represent my character in a game. It just doesn't seem like a nurse is that common a PC.
And when I was a kid and played with army men, I'd always hate the ones that were just standing there, doing nothing. Like the radio guy, or even the one with the minesweeper. The ones with the rifles or guns aimed were so much better.

It can be both, you know.. the model can be a sound starting point, and the phenomenon of its novelty can cause a temporary explosion of interest...

People are spending money on stuff they want, and they're getting the stuff, no artificial weird value is appearing out of nowhere. It may be a fad, it remains to be seen whether this kind of preordering stands on its own merits, but it's not a bubble.
In property for example, the true value of a house is relatively easy to ascertain - If rental returns in the area are 8% or more, that is if paying the rent on a house for 12 years would cover the cost of the house, it's good value. 5% is not so good, that wouldn't attract any investors I know, anything less is right out even for residential purposes.
During the various bubbles you had property being sold which would have brought
half a percent returns, that is it would take rent two hundred years to cover the value of the house. Why? Is there a sudden shortage of housing? Did the population triple overnight? No, there's no logical reason for prices to spike.
That's what a bubble looks like.
We'll see.
Eh, I could see a sort of gaming bubble on kickstarter, to be honest.
What's the value of a miniature? What's the value of an rpg? Well, it comes down to what people are willing to pay for it. It's not like a house, where you need a place to live, after all.
I could see people going along, putting lots of money into miniatures and roleplaying games that they don't get around to paint / play with, and then suddenly folks realizing that they're getting half-finished games (or not getting in a few failed kickstarters) that they're not using, and suddenly folks stop oversupporting kickstarters for minis or rpgs or both. Companies put up new projects and few people back them, maybe not enough to fund, and then we've got a number of companies who have switched away from saving money for the next project because they could get that project paid for by kickstarter. And then a few companies with low cash reserves don't print anything new for a year or so, and folks stop using kickstarter as their FLGS, and things return more to normal.
I'm not saying that I see it as likely, but it's a sort of bubble that could happen.

...and right about here is where I start asking for evidence. And I don't mean that one KS where you didn't get your stuff, I mean evidence of a major drift towards kickstarters which underdeliver or don't deliver.

I'm sorry if people asking you for evidence of what you're saying spoils your day. If only we could all just say any old bollocks and have people accept that as fact, eh, what a world that would be.
If prices rise above the going market rate for goods and services on KS then I'll agree that we've entered a most peculiar sort of bubble. Until such time it's not a bubble but rather a fad which may become a trend which may then transform itself into an economic reality before winding up as an institution and being replaced by a more competitive alternative.
And get fucked for being shy of the facts.
