My threads never truly die, they just take a carribean vacation to rest up for the next round....
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Justifiers is my all time #1 favorite obscure RPG.

Spike

Justifiers is very high on my list for 'obscure RPGs' as well.  One of these days I'm going to have to do some serious analysis of just what it does 'right' that boosts it above other, similar yet oddly weaker RPGs.

Of course, percentile dice are made of win.

Also high on my "obscure RPG" list, too.

I'm not thrilled with the rules, but the setting rocks.

Tetsubo

I discovered yesterday that there are five supplements that I am missing from my Justifiers collection. Now I must own them...

Silverlion

I need them too Tets, I only have one supplement, everytime I find the other ones someone beats me to them.

I was playing in a PBP using D20 modern online. (Not fond of PBP for the exact reason this one seems to have died...)

Not that I mind percentile, I think it could work. (Maybe as a BRP setting book? Since that's pretty solid percentile and they released a generic version of the set.)
Maybe OpenD6 if we ever get it for real?

Hrms.

I'm bummed about this as well.  I was completely jazzed to play it.

I watched your video.  We have much in common it seems.:)  I love anthropomorphics as well.  I think that 4e Gamma World is the best as far as New Animal rules go too.

If you haven't heard about the SHARD RPG, then I highly recommend checking it out.  The boyos at SHARD Studios have finally announced that it's available for pre-order.  It's a fantasy world based upon Eastern philosophies were there are no human race, nor any standard fantasy races.  The race inhabiting the planet are animal-human hybrids which are called Zoics.  Also, the planet doesn't have metal, but instead has crystals which are as strong as metal.  So weapons, armor, and equipment is made out of various crystals which can be as hard as steel from our world.

The system uses a d6 Pool system and it is fairly crunchy- there are fairly involved rules for combat and martial arts, and the skill system is fairly involved as well.

The art is absolutely evocative and kick ass!

SHARD Welcome Booklet

The Welcome Booklet is their Quick Start Rules and it contains a sample adventure.

The authors are a couple really cool guys and are willing to talk about it with you.  Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Scott and Aaron. :)

Also, there is a thread on the forum where Colin Chapman has contributed a lot of really cool anthropomorphic art that he has gathered from various sources on the net.  Thanks again Colin!

Shard is looking more interesting but I'm not fond of the Sci Fi beginning story in the welcome book.

Luckily, that's the only real mention of it anywhere so it can easily be ignored.  The rest of the mythos for Dardunah doesn't ever mention any science fiction aspect like in that introduction scene.

Tetsubo

Thanks Drohem, that looks very cool. It's outside my current gaming budget at the moment though. Gaming dollars are sort of tight. :)

Have you seen World Tree? It's an anthro fantasy setting. I even own a copy. :)

There hasn't ever been written a bit of gaming fluff that I can't ignore. :)

I hear ya on the budget; I have one myself.  Yes, I own a copy of World-Tree as well.  Although, I haven't had a chance to play it yet. :(

Silverlion

I had a friend who did some art for World Tree. They say they don't want to speak about it.

I like that friend, so I don't.

(I don't own a copy, nor will I, if that's their reaction to it. I do own Justifiers and Ironclaw though..)
