Watched the vid a few days ago.

Why would you hire someone who is so obnoxious on twitter?? How does that do anything for your company?

Mind you, on the plus side, SJG is pretty much dead and has been riding off their back catalog of material for years. So it's no big loss.

I stopped caring about GURPS a long time ago. I like the system well enough but without good adventure support it is too much of a hassle to prep games. Many of the historical books are top notch and have useful things for other games but the system....too heavy for quick game prep.

Never played GURPS, but I do have some of the books because they're good background material (especially GURPS Conan)
I was more of a Car Wars fan back in the day.

Hate clicks only give you short term engagements  but your reputation suffers in the long run (see disney, marvel, kotaku,etc).  Its a shit move and only idiots play that game

Sadly, rather than engaging in shock marketing strategies, Steve Jackson is just an exhausted elderly man whose attempts at being current are stuck 5-10 years in the past, at best.

It's Steve Jackson's baby which he's run for 40 years.
It used to be staffed by old-school geeks that you would expect to be putting out such stuff, basically stuck in the 1980s (not that that is a bad thing).
Steve himself has gone woke, basically broken by the pandemic, Trump derangement syndrome, and being old. So his recent hires are all liberal women who are not and have never been gamers.

Hiring unqualified people for a job will always produce poor results. I'm not understanding the logic behind it till this day, and why are so many mainstream companies torturing years old customers. My understanding is that you show a customer how much you appreciate them, not depreciated and deliberately bully them. Another question is why aren't these companies gone bankrupt already? It's been years!

I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.
