Has anybody tried to make a #TTRPG that doesn't offend anybody by following all of the #SocJus directives? Lets see if we can list them all before even trying.
1.- You can't write any race/culture/sex/sexuality other than your own.
2.- Not including other cultures/races/etc is bigotry.
3.- Fictional races are bigotry.
You mean totally 100% not offensive to anyone on earth?
Not going to happen. Ever. There are insane people out there who can and will be offended by your game even if all the characters were the exact same transparent cube. It does not matter what you do. If they want to be offended they will make up whole cloth how your transparent cube people really represent the oppressed native american plight and how you are pro genocide. You monster!
But there are a few fairly innoffensive RPGs out there. Ones about kids doing stuff, ones about just travelling around, ones about diplomacy and negotiation, and even one about kobolds eating babies... wait... what?
But it gets better. There will be people offended if your RPG has ANY random element in it. There will be some, including me, who might be offended if there was no random element in it. You monster!
Things I've seen on design fora...
A player solemnly swearing that they would never buy a game that had... leather in it. Because they are vegans. (and apparently can not separate reality from fantasy.)
A player despising Runequest because it has duck people in it. But not because it has duck people in it. But instead because how real ducks fuck...
Lost track of the morons despising D&D because "It has so many rules for combat and no rules for talking! Its all combat and killing and NOTHING ELSE EVERRRRRRRRR!"
"Chainmail bikinis" for fuck sake the number of morons screeching about this and getting so utterly fucking wrong EVERY FUCKING TIME.
And of course the 'euro gamers' AKA: bigots in disguise, who will spit on your game if it has the vile hated abomination of... DICE. You monster!
And so on.
Really. You can not win with these nuts.
