Just thought I'd let you know if you didn't already, this week at DTRPG, every single title for Interface Zero (a Cyberpunk setting for Savage Worlds and now Pathfinder, Fate, True20) is in one bundle for $19.99.  If you already have any of the titles, the bundle is discounted.

I've been searching for a worthy successor to Cyberpunk 2020 for some time. At first glance, Interface Zero seemed too... weird? different? I can't think of the right word. But I only glanced through a preview; perhaps I misjudged it. What makes IZ cool? How different from baseline cyberpunk is it?

Edit: Damn that's an impressive bundle.

I got it, just too impressive of a bundle to miss because even if you don't use the setting itself, it still has maps/figure flats you can use in other games.

It tries to add in modern "transhuman" stuff like gene-modded human/animal hybrids, fully self-aware androids, manufactured bioroids, and the next (forced) evolutionary step of Humans 2.0 among other things. Then it goes one step further and adds a psionic power source to give a hint of sci-fi flavored magic. I like IZ, but for me, it doesn't really feel at all like the Cyberpunk 2020 that I grew up playing.

Transhumanism. That's what it was; not really a fan. But what you described doesn't sound that bad,  it's the body swapping that irks me. Does it have that?

IIRC, it does, but only in a limited fashion. Mostly it's only the very, very rich that can afford a back-up bioroid to occupy when the current body dies. Eclipse Phase-like swapping out bodies like they're gear isn't really a thing here.

I can deal with that. Brain-swapping is fine as a plot device.

Just picked up the bundle. I got a discounted price because, much to my surprise, I already owned the Modern20 version. I had no idea. Talk about an embarassment of riches: when you own so many PDFs you don't even know what you own, and don't care.

So I gave it a quick review and decided the bundle is worth it if nothing but for "idea mining." This time around, two things came to mind when I looked over IZ: One was Gurps Transhuman Space, which always elicits the strange paradoxical feeling of "This is either really interesting, or really boring, and I can't seem to make up my mind." The other thing was Blade Runner. Which is always awesome.
