SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hit me with your ideas for gaming around this...

Well, this is the latest stunt to come out of Rome - something to follow:

While, generally speaking, this is a good source of info re: "Wassup in the Vatican" by outside journalists updated daily. It can be helpful to give verisimilitude to a campaign and ground it in the real current world:

BTW, according to a mail I just got, Cthulhu Post-Atomic should be out. Just saying ;)
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

The Traveller

Quote from: Sigmund;630230Edit: Actually, your idea kinda reminds me of the Chthonian Stars setting for MongTrav Mr. Traveller :) Seal's breached, but the transformation happens slowly as the change spreads from "ground zero". Like a magical epidemic.
Nice, sounds like fun. There's plenty of Eurasian myth to plunder without needing cthulhu though, mix up all of the urban fantasy shows from Buffy to Angel to Supernatural and Grimm and that would be a smokin' setting, if you'll excuse the pun.
"These children are playing with dark and dangerous powers!"
"What else are you meant to do with dark and dangerous powers?"
A concise overview of GNS theory.

Oh I agree. Wouldn't make it Cthulu either. Much more Supernatural than CoC.

Quite sure that the rumours are nonsense, at least in the sense of having anything to do with why Benedict is quitting.

More importantly, they make much less productive fodder for an RPG game than ancient prophecies.
