This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Help me make a new game: D.I.D. : Damsels in Distress :D

D.I.D (or DiD) : Damsels in Distress is sure to please all fans of RPGs, particularly those with colorful hair  ;)

Save the damsel! She's stuck in that tower with almost nothing to wear. Want to play a diverse cast of characters of "all genders"? Sorry, wrong game.

Anyway, what should the rules be like? Obviously men have to be stronger than women for starters. Should it be rules-lite or crunchy?

It needs to be convoluted, particularly when it comes to conversation. I've never seen a convoluted ruleset for RPing before. Also, I think the distress of the damsel should be placed on a table, so GMs can roll for the type of distress before play. Towers get boring after awhile. As does virginity - have an option for a Damsel of the Night, so to speak. But I think for this type of game, you need a stat/ability called BALLS, representing courage, grit, resolute in spirit, and gives a bonus to intimidation. I'd also like to see a magical armor type of SHAMELESS LOINCLOTH OF DOOM. It would be cool. Trust me.

Makes perfect sense to me   ;D

The damsel could also be on a sliding scale from CALM---------HYSTERICAL, not sure if it should be a stat or a mechanic similar to madness in CoC.

Here's a vote for really fucking crunchy.

I want body-specific damage but not just torso, leg, etc. I want bones and musculature modeled. Monster fractures your right tibia, walk it off pussy. Monster crushes your left femur, you're fucked.

And since you're modelling musculature, I want stats for each muscle. 3d6 down the line from neck, to pecks, to calves, and everything in between. My long sword does 1d8 damage + bicep mod. And I get the glute mod if I declare that I really put my hips into it.

Also, 1d8 damage is kind of weak. Base damage for a long sword should be 10d8. Monster HP should be upped accordingly.

The worms crawl in and the worms crawl out
The ones that crawl in are lean and thin
The ones that crawl out are fat and stout
Your eyes fall in and your teeth fall out
Your brains come tumbling down your snout
Be merry my friends
Be merry

Crunchy would be cool, but I'm not sure if I have the energy to make it :)
