This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've just recently started a ShadowrunPBP game here and I want to include some background news snippets in the game.  So I was wondering if you fine people would be able to help me out by posting short news bulletin type stuff that I can use to pad out my terrible posting.

Here is something that I googled earlier to give you an example of the kind of thing I want.

(Seattle Metroplex) Knight Errant announced today several raids on organized crime fronts in the Everett District took place over the Veteran’s Day weekend.  Unnamed sources say the raids were against several known Triad fronts and were triggered by the anonymous delivery of evidence in the form of financial records belonging to the Eighty-Eights criminal organization.

It'll save me some time and you'll be helping a brother out!  Well not your brother, but somebodies brother.  The current game is set in 2076, I said 2077 in the initial pitch for the game but I forgot that and instead posted 2076 so there you go.

What sorts of news? Like announcing a new model of the Bison truck with improved handling? Or riots in orc town over food shortages?

Anything and everything to be honest.  Your two examples there are perfect.  The game is set in Seattle so the majority of the news will be Seattle focused but there are a bunch of news networks so anything can pop up if people go looking for it or even just as background fluff while the game is running.

That was pretty bad but you get the idea.
