This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I backed it. I had no idea Iron Kingdoms was so popular.

I might be interested.  Does anyone know how IK handles firearm attacks in 5e?  Using the standard ranged attack rules?

Looks like they will likely exceed half a million bucks for this project. Wow, impressive!

They've got a live play (2 parts) up on youtube of the new version with enough combat that you should be able to get an idea about how it works.

Well this rather saddens me as I have a soft spot for Miniatures Wargame/RPG hybrids like Iron Kingdoms and Savage Worlds.  Incidentally, while I can see how going 5e makes economic sense, I would have preferred an official Savage Worlds book for IK. I feel like it would be a better fit and would drive miniatures sales.

I'm really concerned by all of this talk of PP going down the tubes.  Even if some of their decisions I don't support, I'm pulling for the company to stay.  The last thing we need is for Hasbro to end up owning them.

Best case scenario is that Paradox buys them.

All of their Kickstarters in recent years have gone well, although they've downsized dramatically I don't get the impression they're circling the drain anymore.

I agree Savage Worlds would've been a better fit but what can y'do.
