This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I was reading Jeff's Gameblog where his latest post jogged my memory. I put up ten bucks for a FASERIP Rulebook So did a few others. To date...nothing.
That sucks. Phil Reed took the money. I'm sure it's spent. where's the completed game?

I've heard this complaint a few times myself. I know that Phil Reed is now working for SJGs, IIRC in their digital media/e23 department.
"Meh."

I think it would be fair to let Mr Reed reply before laying any accusations at his doormat. Lets hope that is a legitimate reason.

What accussations?  So far all anyone has done is state facts.  He took our money on promise to produce a game.  Said game is not forthcoming in the time agreed.

So far I've seen no one go any further than that.

Fair would be for him to follow through on his commitment.

Well, IIRC, he has had most people's money for several months now and promised a release date has come and gone. Plus, not communication on the status of the game.

So, I'd say he has had a fair shot already.

First, I am sorry for not being more communicative about this project. I had sent an e-mail when the Basic/Advanced text was ready but I never followed up on that.

The files (text and tables) have been ready since June. One place to get them is here:

http://www2.seraphim-guard.com/content/view/42/77/

What is not ready is the final PDF. I've been trying to collect feedback and thus far very little has come in. This either means that the text suits everyone's needs or, as is starting to look more likely, few people have seen the final text.

If anyone would like to send in feedback please contact me at roninartspresident@yahoo.com and I will review your comments.

IMHO you might think about just setting a deadline for feedback, and move forward no matter what after that point.

So what is the rest of the project timeline look like then?  When can we expect the final PDF?

Well, the suggestion above that I set a deadline and then proceed whether or not feedback comes in makes sense to me. Part of why I haven't done that is time and the other part is wanting to collect as much feedback as possible.

The final PDF could be in a week or a month, depending on whether or not others feel it is more important to wait for feedback than to just get it out in PDF form.

There is a similar thread on RPGnet.  Someone (Phil?) might want to post an update there, too.

Thank you. I have posted the link to the material over at RPGNet. (Or, rather, someone else beat me to it.)
