This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

G’day theRPGsite, tell me about yourselves

Altheus

I live in darkest Lincolnshire (in the UK for you colonials) and I'm currently running Conan and playing Call of Cthullu.

Quote from: under_score;1025462Wade, welcome to the board.  I think I talked to you a few times on /rpg a couple years back around the release of Fragged Empire.  Congratulations on the game, as well as it's followup settings.  While it was ultimately too crunchy for my group, I enjoyed reading over FE.  You had a lot of good ideas in there and the presentation is beautiful.

Thanks  Under_Score, Fragged is going very well atm (its my full time job) and I hope the new settings are received well this year (I think Aeternum has some real potential as no other RPG does what it does). Yea, Fragged is unashamedly a mid-crunch RPG. One of the great things about the plethora of choices that we have these days is that there is a setting/rule-system for whatever you like :)

Welcome aboard Wade!

Looking forward to you promoting Fragged projects and sharing more about them!

At the moment, I'm mostly playtesting boardgames designed by friends or doing playtests of my RPG projects.
It's odd, but I haven't played a published game in months!

I like to chat about stuff to be used in actual play. For me, its all about actual play.

I am currently living in Hollyweird!

glithus

Hi, Glithus here, I lurk...(first real post)

1. What games are you playing at the moment? 5e Curse of Strahd
2. What type of RPG stuff do you like to talk about? Mostly Old School stuff. But I like it all. Even the much maligned Story Games.
3. Where are you from? Nice try CIA.
In Internet culture, a lurker is typically a member of an online community or PLN who observes, but does not participate.
The exact definition depends on context. Lurkers make up a large proportion of all users in online communities.
Lurking allows users to learn the conventions of an online community before they participate, improving their socialization when they eventually de-lurk.
However, a lack of social contact while lurking sometimes causes loneliness or apathy among lurkers.

Redforce

1.  Nothing, currently.
2.  World-building.  It helps with a project I am working on currently that doesn't directly relate to RPGs, and it's fun besides.
3.  Atlanta, Georgia.  I joined because I found a guy I used to go to college with on here (Steve Mitchell), and because it seemed like a cool place (It is).

Tulpa Girl

Welcome!  I'm relatively new here myself.

1) I'm currently running a 2nd edition AD&D campaign.  A co-worker wanted to know if I could run D&D game for her son, but I don't own any of the more recent editions, and 2nd edition is what I'm primarily familiar with from when I gamed back in the 90's.

2) At the moment I still lurk a lot.  I was out of the gaming loop for a decade and a half, and I'm still acclimating myself to a lot of the more recent theories and jargon in the current RPG landscape.

3) I live in rural Georgia (the U.S. state, not the European country), in a town that if you drove through you might miss if you blinked.

danskmacabre

Hey there!

I run and play RPGs in Brisbane QLD.

There's a huge RPG community here and a lot of various clubs and societies related to RPGs.
I administrate one club and help out as an admin on another.

Currently I'm running and playing a few various RPGs, too many really.

So I'm pulling back from running DnD 5e this year, which I've been playing and running a LOT over the last few years in favor of more Indie RPGs, such as running Godbound and Stars without number.
I'm hoping to get to play more Call of Cthulhu this year and trying to restrict myself to only PLAYING DnD 5e.

I've also got the itch to play more Boardgames this year. I hardly played any last year.
