I let the players plan some. But I make sure its not getting out of hand. Ive had more than a few that dont even do that and just perform the first action that comes to them. And while the darkness has not been magic missiled... it has been filled full of arrows...

You have to be careful with megadungeons, and I think it depends on the group. Some people will dig long delves into dungeons more than others.  Of course, it does matter if megadungeons have enough variety to keep it fresh.

Jesus Fucking Christ, is this guy honestly that goddamned stupid? He can\'t understand the plot of a Star Wars film? We\'re not talking about "Rashomon" here, for fuck\'s sake. The plot is as linear as they come. If anything, the film tries too hard to fill in all the gaps. This guy must be a flaming retard.  --Mike Wong on Red Letter Moron\'s review of The Phantom Menace
