This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Not me.
On weird fantasy: "The Otus/Elmore rule: When adding something new to the campaign, try and imagine how Erol Otus would depict it. If you can, that\'s far enough...it\'s a good idea. If you can picture a Larry Elmore version...it\'s far too mundane and boring, excise immediately." - Kellri, K&K Alehouse

Well, you are no fun.:p

I'm a lot of fun.

I also tend to choose games that allow me the room to try lots of things in terms of characters and adventures, so I don't need to jump from system to system or setting to setting to get what I want out of roleplaying games.

I think I do. I believe it's borne of frustration. I can't get what I'm looking for out of a game  group or system, so I look elsewhere. I'm hoping to get back into the sweet spot with the Labyrinth Lord campaign I am planning. I just want to have simple fun.
destination unknown is about laser bears and ghost crocodiles.

I was just joking.:)

I like systems that can handle a lot of different things too. I just find myself wanting to switch between all of the systems I like.

And I'm good with just a few systems, which is why I don't suffer from gamer ADD.

Me! Me! Me!... ooh... shiny!

My gamer ADD isn't over systems... it's over settings/genres.
I've got a few systems I like that can do just about anything I want... but my brain keeps flitting between a wide variety of types of games I'd like to play/run.

Enlightened

I have it.

But it's not that I get bored of a particular system.  It's that I get in the mood for a different play experience and different systems give different play experiences.

A dungeon crawl in GURPS feels different and plays out differently from a dungeon crawl in D&D 4E which is different from a dungeon crawl in RISUS which is different from one in BD&D.  System affects play.

Seanchai

Sure, but, for me, that's part of the fun of being a gamer.
