This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Funny how being rowdy is associated in this thread with being juvenile. Middle-aged adults like to cut loose now and then. At the least the ones I hang out with do.

If that is so it wasn't intended, well not generally. Having fun at the table, even boisterous fun isn't necessarily juvenile, just disruptive and maybe unwelcome by some, in some cases. There is however a type of fun, commonly seen in gaming groups, that is juvenile. Now that doesn't make it evil and the participants needful of crucifying but there is no denying its is juvenile. Certain subject matter (relieving one's self, masturbation, flatulence come to mind but there are countless others) and assigning ridiculous and unflattering traits or imagined actions to NPCs (The three hedge witches are female versions of the three Stooges - states the player..ha ha ha, Moe, Larry and Curly..ha ha ha) are pretty juvenile.. and the list could go on endlessly. We all know when humor takes the plunge from mature silliness to something truly embarrassing.
