This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The changes seem larger than just the numbers to me. There is a tonal shift that moves the game towards narrative territory... more concern with 'story' and such. Also, towards a more action-oriented outlook... slightly less dangerous. 'Pulpier' maybe? More 'cinematic'? Whatever it is I'm not the audience for it so I'm sticking with 5e.

Well, at the risk of derailing this thread, it does sound intriguing. Care to share more or point us to an appropriate thread for the sourcebook?

Well, that would derail the thread. But I've talked about it on my blog and in other threads.  It's the sourcebook on how to make authentically medieval witch-cults, heresies, and other kinds of Chaos sects for Dark Albion. Plus it has a full set of rules on mutations, spirits, familiars, and elves.  It'll have some other stuff too, provided by Dominique Crouzet.
