SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It isn't a PDF, its an online copy requiring you to use D&D Beyond.  And the search in D&D Beyond is notoriously crappy.  Meanwhile with a PDF, you can search and find what you want from the book you have easily.
Absolutely nothing about this refutes my point.

Okay, it's an online copy requiring D&D Beyond. Fantastic. They're still doing it because they got tired of customer service complaints from people who thought they got a D&D Beyond module with their physical book purchase. Most customers expect to get that with their physical book purchase. Because why the fuck wouldn't you get that included in your physical book purchase? Otherwise what's the point of buying from the WotC website in the first place?

There are reasonable complaints about the wokewashing of D&D (Radiant Citadel, for example), and then there's this. Not every business move is a an evil capitalist megacorporation conspiring with the CIA to put small time mom & pop stores out of business.

Lets revisit this statement when WOTC releases post core book content for 6E shall we?

WRONG THREAD!

EDIT: Is there no capability to delete posts? That seems problematic.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

I agree with Brad.  Look how willingly a majority of video gamers just go along with shitty Battle Passes.  These crept in here and there and are now ubiquitous in the industry.  Every AAA company is trying to find some way to slip them into their games.  It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Hasbro/WotC is using the move to 6e to get their piece of that pie and a large majority of D&D players will follow along because that's just how people work- "I play D&D and this is what D&D is now so this is how I play."

Edit: Even though he deleted it, I still agree with him.
