This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What are your current "alternate system" GM plans? (i.e. not DnD, RQ, Traveller, etc.

Oh, oops, I thought "high strung" was an adjective you were using to describe the intended style of the campaign. :D

I mean, it kinda fits for noise marines in 40k...

I'm not quite sure what you define as "alternate", but I just recently started a Traveller campaign, and I've only run traveller three times before.

I'm also considering trying to convince some players to play World War Cthulhu after that, though again, I've run CoC quite a few times in the past, more than Traveller.

To best honest, I am less and less inclined to devote any time to alternate/new systems.  I have little enough time for RPGs as it is, so I've been sticking with the tried and true (which for me, means TSR D&D or some flavor of BRP).

That said, if I had the time, I think my first choice would be a rocking Flashing Blades campaign.
The problem is not that power corrupts, but that the corruptible are irresistibly drawn to the pursuit of power. Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.
