Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). These things feel professional grade, dude! Seriously appreciate the high quality free resources for us to use. Don't mind if I do.  ;D

Thanks! I hope they are professional grade. I've drawn maps for Goodman Games and Night Owl Workshop, and other publishers. And I take commissions.

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Excellent work! I'll probably slot some of these into a hex map I threw together a few days ago. I'll be sure to let my players know where I got them from, is there somewhere I can send them if they're interested in getting a commission?

The hex map I provided is free to all. I'd totally love it if you pass on this Big Geek Emporium link to my Tactical Hex Maps book.  Although the book is out of print, the PDF is crammed with extras!

https://biggeekemporium.com/product/gr0001

I also have some of the hex maps from this book available as folding boards.  Dungeon D1 is the most popular.  Some include printable PDF scenario cards that accompany the dungeon.

Thank you so much, as any support helps an extremely indy guy!

I'd love to see your hex map.  The world needs more hex maps.

The child of an arch-devil didn't appreciate what his parents gave him, so they built a grotto to send him to for a few centuries until he would become grateful for all he'd been given.

Very nice!  Dungeonscrawl?

No :(

Hand drawn in Photoshop.

How much would it cost to make beautiful custom maps like this if you do take commissions?

For a typical map, like the ones I've been posting here. +/- $125 (as of Jan 2024), I can offer them for such a low price because I have templates and brushes set up for this, but the more complicated and detailed price can vary. Email me for discussion: dungeoneering@nightowlworkshop.com

In this thread I am going to post maps you are free to use in your home game.

This is The Tomb of Solwey

Quite like that style, it's a nice shade of blue that is vibrant enough to pop without inducing eye bleeding, and the cobblestone texture in the walls gives visual interest, though I'm personally partial to the classic crosshatch pattern.

Thanks for sharing, I'll probably drop a couple of these in my westmarches.

Thanks, I love the crosshatch pattern too, but so many cartographers use them I wanted to have something different to differentiate these maps.

I definitely get it, and it's working.
