Okay.  Whilst casting about my .pdfs yesterday, I came across Animalball's Instant Game and thought that that would be extra-special keen in terms of coming up with episodes (as I like to view them) for a Dr. Who game.

Here are the results; rolled numbers in []:

Setting: [9] = Artificial World

Tone: [21] = Despair

Things: and note, I rolled an for an additional descriptor
[87 + 83] Supernatural & Silent
[74 + 54] Mutants/Mutations & Quick

Opposition: [71] = Security Forces

Action + Thing: [22 + 58] = Coverup & Neutrality

Action + Other Thing: [16 + 29] = Clear & Grave

On a whim, I also rolled for five additional places where scenes could take place and got Mansion, Oasis, Auction, Marketplace, and Crash Site.

Having just watched Avatar, this put me in the mind to work those aliens in, but on the other side of the coin as which is portrayed in the film (I'm not trying to be spoilery here, so you don't be either) and with the above stuff in mind, I've started doing so for a typical Dr. Who situation.

So, fellow readers, what would you do with these story pieces put before you or what other "episodes," can you come up with yourself for the good Doctor using the Instant Game process?

Edit: ...and I should have stated up front that the Instant Game allows (nay, demands) one to roll up randomly various story elements for a game.  Sorry.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

Sorry, can't linky from worky, but I know you can get this (and more) through the Animalball Games' site.

Playing around some more with the stuff yesterday yielded a Frontier setting which is "Pulp," in tone during the Industrial Revolution with music and psychic abilities as the things to contend with.

-beat me to it, Mr. Nicephorus

Interesting, but you have to remember to make certain adjustments for a Doctor Who game.  Most notably, any result of "Supernatural" will need to become "Apparently supernatural, but with an eventual pseudo-scientific explanation". :)

But of course.

Everybody else enjoy the Tennant Who-a-thon on BBC America?  It was the devil trying to get the kids to enjoy a right proper show, what with their Pokemons, Bakugons (sp?), Digimons and all the rest of that Jap Crap.  Bloody, little Philistines.

Aos

We only turn our TV on between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon (and even then it's limited). Our kids will gleefully watch just about anything as a result.

I've been meaning to hook a generator to our elliptical trainer.  Both kids are big enough to operate it now, so I'm figuring on using it to power the television and DVD player.  I predict early, quiet bedtimes, and fewer power struggles at the dinner table.

It may take me three months to remember that you lot exist, but one short google search later and... BAM... swollen ego.

If you like Instant Game but wish it was even more awesome, just wait-- big announcements ahead.
