This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Okay, so I'm thinking of running a mini series type campaign using DitV but based in the WH40K setting. PCs are Inquisitors cleansing the land of the taint of Chaos.

So, direct me to any sites/threads where folks have done something like this. Thanks in advance :)

Blackleaf

This sounds like a cool idea -- although Inquisitors might be less concerned with any moral dilemmas than Mormon cowboys would. ;)

Try and get AD2000's Durham Red -- The Scarlet Cantos.  The bit with the Iconoclasts arriving on Wodan in response to a report of a Vampire / Heresy is perfect for this. :)

I (sadly) can't point you to anything but, damn, that sounds cool!  I forsee much burning of heretics...

I think the main reason some of my players are interested in this game, is to see the effects of a bolt thrower shot, point blank...:(... :D

I think I know at least two of your players. :)

I've seen DitV suggested for a number of different things that wouldn't strike me right off. Your best bet for a solid answer is likely on the Lumpley message board.

So how many, and what kind of, dice do you get for escalation: cleanse planet?

(I think DiTV is a slightly better fit for Witch Hunters in WFRP.)

Dunno. That's why I'm asking around, if anyone has ever done this.

For some odd reason the ideas I have for his short term (:D ) game are heavily influenced by the movie High Plains Drifter. The setting is an out of way hard to access city recovering from the attacks of a coven of psi warlocks. The pcs are Inquisitors who are low on ammo, tech, supplies...bad shit happens.

What's your sin structure?

I don't know the 40k universe well enough to suggest anything.

At this moment I've no idea. One of my friends is a real 40k freak, I'm thinking there must be something in all his codex books I could use. Imperial dogma or something ? I've been going through some of the Dogs thread on tBP and the Forge ....I think this idea is doable. I think...

Here's a collection of the rulebooks for GW's Inquisitor line.  You might find the pdfs useful for setting up the rhetoric and aesthetics of the Inquisition.

EDIT: Inquisitor was GW's foray into tactical roleplaying.  True to form they hyped the almighty hell out of it for one product cycle and then dumped the baby out with the bathwater.
