This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.
The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

LOL.

Large corporations are psychopaths. They want more money and will say anything to get it.
The worms crawl in and the worms crawl out
The ones that crawl in are lean and thin
The ones that crawl out are fat and stout
Your eyes fall in and your teeth fall out
Your brains come tumbling down your snout
Be merry my friends
Be merry

Darkness looms over the near future in this land of turmoil, young [Hobbit dude's name I forgot].
You must venture the realm to summon the aid of a champion of an age not too long ago to quell the spread of this insidious threat.
You must seek...

Anyone else get the feeling that they rushed out ads that were meant to be waayyy spaced out, just to try and bury the unpopular ad?
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

Yeah.

That and the obvious pandering to the customers that they had so recently insulted and lost.

I don't think that anybody is buying it, though. This is an "apology" only because they are losing so much money from the Bud Light Boycott.
"Meh."

It has been quite the advertising flop, for Anheuser-Busch.  A terrible, self-inflicted wound.  This drama is long lasting, too.

Never cared for their swill, politics aside. It was like making love in a canoe.

And now the gays hate them too after they distanced themselves from lgbtqxyz people...

All it would have taken was them saying "sorry, we fucked up" at the original debacle - or - ya know - just not getting in bed with some nobody social media "influencer" in the first place.

Leftists, Dems, communists, etc. just don't get that the rest of us are sick of being told that tolerance is racist and sexist and misogynistic and we have to actively promote that which we don't agree with.

Go woke, go broke. Fuck 'em.

AB aren't even Czech, and you can't get the real thing under the real name in North America.
If encumbrance is roleplaying try hauling your ass to the gym and call it a LARP

I don't know about that - I've gotten Budvar in the States and it's been labeled Czechvar but fact is they have up the rights to the name in the US in 1939. AB also can't sell their swill labeled as Budweiser in the EU.

True, its the only one still independently operating under that name in the EU, the American brand is called "Bud" or something like that. Czechvar is now the oldest independent Budweiser beer in it's home country since AB bought the oldest brewery to claim the title.

I don't see an American sparkling wine company buying the title of champagne anywhere though, I imagine the French wouldn't like that very much.

Their stock price has fallen like 20% or so just within the past month. https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/bud/charts

Sales dropped even further, and they’ve lost tens of billions of dollars. https://nypost.com/2023/06/02/bud-light-parent-anheuser-buschs-stock-lost-27b-over-dylan-mulvaney/amp/

Was not a good financial decision.
