I know there are a number of fan sites still around for the Star Trek Combat Simulator, but browsing them I haven't found any clone.
I seem to recall seeing that someone had created a clone of the simulator system itself, but this was several years ago. Did I imagine it?
You didn't imagine it. I probably have a copy in one of my previous computer backups, but it's a matter of a) figuring out which one it's on and b) remembering the name of the clone in question. If I figure it out I'll send it your way.

Thanks! It is so odd that it disappeared so completely from the Internet.
This website has a few of the old books in nice cleaned up PDF's format, plus other new resources. It's not an OGL clone, it likes like the real deal. I've only taken a quick look but it looks like a '3rd edition' fan update? But again very nicely done.

They seem to keep reasonably up to date on the ships, too.
https://www.ststcsolda.space/ covers ships from further afield in the Star Trek timeline as well.
