This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Cool concept, spotty execution.

Fae Noir by Justin Bow is a game about the return the fae folk in the 1920s. By the time the game has been set, the fae has started to integrate themselves into society - roaring 20s societies. Players take on the role of characters who, well, do stuff in that milieu.

Character creation is point based. You can play various fae types or humans.

Fae Noir uses dice pools, with d8s.

There's True Faith, Glamour, and a few other different areas of magic study, each with it's spell list.

Fae Noir has a deep flaw. It's the same sin that Eberron that commits: It doesn't explain or demonstrate how to integrate noir into its setting or play. Because of this, Eberron is just D&D with fancy trains. Because of this, Fae Noir is game with guns and fairies.
