This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: CRKrueger;473645I'm not big on Canadian geography, but isn't Bella Coola a town of like 1000 people in the middle of nowhere?  :D

Of course, it being BC, I'm sure the nowhere is some of the most beautiful country on the face of the earth.
Pretty much spot on, actually. :)

I was just there for a month, in fact. I lived previously on an island from the Central Coast, not far at all from Bella Coola, actually. My in-laws live in PoCo, so I'm back in that area for the Holidays and in summer. Hence the question about Xmas. ;)

Quote from: Planet Algol;473649We use Basic & Expert, not E3, and we use some rules from LOTFP such as specialists and whatever else the DM finds useful.

Nostalgia? Nope, the point is to Play Some Fucking D&D. And it's fun as hell. We've managed to bring new blood into the game with RBV, and have on ongoing, living, multiple DM campaign that's been running for over two years with 70+ sessions (note that I'm a relative newcomer to RBV and have only played in and run a handful of sessions compared to the workhorses of RBV, I'm definately not a spokesperson for it, I'm just enthusiastic about it).
Sounds good to me. Play Some Fucking  D&D is a hell of a catchphrase for the ads. :D

Quote from: Tavis;473660As an example of the new blood that RBV is bringing in, Planet Algol makes a great spokesperson, and if you guys get Benoist as well I will weep with jealousy.
Thanks dude. That makes me blush. :o

Love those things, I have an extensive collection myself. Pity I'm on the wrong continent, it would be great to drop in on your basic/expert game, which I cut my teeth on.

Right on!

I'd encourage anyone who'll be in Vancouver to drop RBV or I a line; I'm sure a session could be arranged.
Yeah, but who gives a fuck? You? Jibba?

Well congrats. No one else gives a shit, so your arguments are a waste of breath.
