As a player in Ravenloft what Domain Lords have you had the pleasure of killing?  If you haven't killed any, have you had a physical confrontation with one?

Nope, but one of my players' characters BECAME a Dark Lord. Does that count?

I suppose in a way. What did he do to become one?

Saplatt

One.  A wereshark dude in a mini-domain.

I ran a pseudo-Egyptian Ravenloft campaign inspired by various bits, including the Stone Prophet video game. It was a short campaign about a mini-domain and the Dark Lord was a Mummy.

The final battle came down to a choice - they could free the land and send it and all its people back to the Prime Material from whence it came, but once the Mummy was destroyed the PCs would be flung back into the Mists OR they could allow the Mummy to rule and just send themselves back...

None of the PCs who survived to that moment were Lawful...so they grabbed the loot, flipped off the mummy and went on home!

I've got the notes for that campaign passed from computer to computer and I've thought it might be fun to update for S&W.

Shipyard Locked

No domain lord has ever died in any of my Ravenloft campaigns. It's not like I was against the idea, or that the players never met them, it's just that circumstances never quite lined up right for a fight to the death. The closest anyone ever came was a chase through the snow involving Adam... but they were the ones fleeing! His defensive capabilities are quite impressive as I recall.

I've always wanted to run a campaign specifically against the lord of Mordent. He seems suitably epic, subtly powerful and deliciously detestable.

He was a fighter magic user who became some sort of draconic, were-dragon being during the campaign. That shift basically sent him right out of the world to the demi-plane, where he could have redeemed himself and found a way back to his world.

Turns out that instead he joined into a guerilla effort against a couple of domain lords and carved new territory for himself in the process, reveling in the further transformation the Dark Powers initiated within him. In time, he finally made it as a domain lord himself, though he did not manage to eliminate his adversaries in the process.
