This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Recommend a product that has a list I can use as "curses/side effects" i can add to magical items, so that there's a trade off - yes, this eyepatch lets me see in the dark with the other eye, but I'm blinded for several rounds if there's a bright light, or this sword gives me +1 damage vs creatures w/ a fire weakness, but I take extra damage from heat. Thanks!

-- OD&D Eldritch Wizardry/AD&D DMG ("artifacts" powers lists, also DMG dungeon trick/trap features list)
-- GURPS, various other such rules sets: "disadvantage" lists
And we are here as on a darkling plain  ~ Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight, ~ Where ignorant armies clash by night.

Going with a set of random drawbacks is not necessarily the way to go here.  The 'curse' should be thematic to what the item does.

That looks like a great collection of mostly-useless magic items!  It would probably fit right into my DCC campaign.
