This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

QuoteTry this as a con regulation: No person over 60 years old, no person overweight and no person with diabetes, hearth, etc pre existing conditions may enter unless they sign a waiver relieving the convention of any and all resposability.

This is a freedom respecting regulation, not an authoritarian one. You fall under the vulnerable group but DGAF? Sign on the dotted line and you can go inside.
I refuse to waive my right to reposability. If I need to have my arms moved into a new position, the Convention should be required to move my arms into a new position.

LOL, fair enough and good point.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

I think if you eliminated all of them from attending for their own health and safety, you'd be out of business  tout de suite...  Hence, we are where we are right now...

Interestingly enough, none of the measures taken at the con will protect any of these people regardless, given that masks provide only dubious protection against airborne viruses (and we've know this for DECADES before Covid) and the experimental gene therapy vaccines not only provide dubious protection as well, but have also been proven to NOT stop the spread of the sickness. So their continued prescription as mandatory tools to protect obedient sheep clean decent people from the filthy "unvaxxed" rabble unvaccinated is merely part of an enduring fantasy that has been propagated and pushed nonstop surrounding this virus that bares no relation to actual reality.

Hence, why these game cons will still remain filthy vectors of disease (as they always were, if you wanna look at things through the lens of shitting your pants over a virus marginally more serious than the flu), even with all of these measures are taken.

But, slapping up those requirements will in fact almost assure the folks at the con that they will not have to share space with the legions of alt right nazis who will not comply.

Yup. It's political gatekeeping by proxy. But it's important to remember that WE'RE the evil gatekeepers trying to prevent decent people from participating in the RPG hobby. They're just protecting themselves from our "known" bigotry and disease ridden carcasses.

Boycott the conventions that establish these requirements and any brand that attends too.

Greetings!

Lots of hand sanitizer available! Social distancing enforced, vaccines required, and everyone must wear a mask when not eating and drinking.

Yes, because the virus won't spread when you are eating or drinking, right?

Yes, because vaccines are just so effective, right?

Bow down, like good little sheep!

What a bunch of guzzling pussies.

Fuck them all. Fuck them and their stupid convention.

Three years since the last convention? Whaa! Whaa! With all their stupid tyrant-fucking restrictions, it may as well be another three years. Or how about ten years?

How about a convention with FREEDOM, and no cock-sucking restrictions or requirements whatsoever? How about THAT, pussy?

All these fucking tyrant-loving hall-monitors and sheep disgust me. So sad.
