This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

On weird fantasy: "The Otus/Elmore rule: When adding something new to the campaign, try and imagine how Erol Otus would depict it. If you can, that\'s far enough...it\'s a good idea. If you can picture a Larry Elmore version...it\'s far too mundane and boring, excise immediately." - Kellri, K&K Alehouse

Quote from: RPGPundit;349007Its fun and requires almost no creativity whatsoever, which is no doubt why the 4e people use it so much.

Hmmm, my initial thought was Deathvomit, because you die when it gets on you. That's not really very 4E, though, so I suppose it should be Darkvomit--can't see because it is covering your face.

I think that the specifics of 4E call for a cool-sounding but totally stupid word. Thus "Shadowfax" wouldn't be eligible, because it makes sense. But "Faxshadow" would - exp. for a game set when the internet wasn't so common.

My entries:

Wellstunt (a combat option)

Wellwell (a pool of healing water)

Torrentpeer (a power that allows you to pirate spells off the Weave)

Rheinmetall (an ore used to forge weapons favored by tanks)

Jasonbourne (an offspring that can divide his level by 3, round up, and eliminate from the map a number of enemies equal to the result by simply describing how he does it)

Badfell (a place that makes everybody uneasy)

Thinktank (a power that allows the character to subtract points from his INT and add them to his HPs)

Shillingcourt (the temple of the Golden Bat)

I'm sure that there are more...
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.
