SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The voting period for the Indie RPG Awards has officially begun for games released in 2008.  This might seem like a gap, but that is intentional -- RPGs aren't like movies that you can get through the whole in two hours.  They take a lot of time to play and assess.

This year we have 42 games and 4 supplements registered.  That's short on supplements, but it still covers a wide range.  You can check out the full lists (in order of registration) at Indie RPG Awards 2008.  Regardless of whether you're voting, you might be interested in the range of indie games for 2008.

All of the voters should have received links to the new voting form that I set up -- please contact me via info@rpg-awards.com if you're a voter and you haven't received your link.  Also, the emails I had on file for the following people bounced: Christopher Helton, Jeff Diamond, Darrick Dishaw, Gary Pratt, Philip J Reed, Evangelos Hugo Paliatseas, Keith Senkowski, Derek Stoelting, Ed Cha, Jasper McChesney, Jason Blair, Ethan Greer.

If you have any info on how to contact them, please let me know.

Link fixed. (there's a " at the end of the original link that shouldn't be there).

Blair at least shouldn't prove hard to find, especially now that Flames Rising is running a series of weekly teaser articles about the upcoming Little Fears: Nightmare Edition. You could probably drop him a note through either the game's site itself or the LF Yahoo group.

I might be looking at the wrong page, but... is Blue Planet's Archipelago (1998) running for a 2008 award?
