Open or focused games?

Overall, do you prefer open games and premises (eg: Pathfinder with your favorite full blown setting) or focused ones (eg: Pendragon) ?

But here is the catch (:D): if you play D&D focused on tomb raiding (with a little evil butt kicking on the side) vote focused. If you play it aiming to explore a vast setting out there besides the tombs, vote open.

I went with focused because games like CoC and Pendragon are my favourites.

Gronan of Simmerya

Other.  Different genres support different game styles.

Also, "focused" is a misleading term.  Pendragon may be focused on playing an Arthurian knight, but can be a fairly broad sandbox.  Star Trek would be focused in the sense of "Where does Starfleet Command send you now?"
You should go to GaryCon.  Period.

The rules can\'t cure stupid, and the rules can\'t cure asshole.

Open.  I may sometimes do something focused with it (or several focused somethings), but I want to pick them.

Dumarest

I find the distinction meaningless akin to what Gronan wrote up above.
