This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Chaosium's BRP Central, its echo chambers and how the company view me as a customer.

Quote from: GIMME SOME SUGAR;1106336I'm still angry about it all and I think I'm starting to hate this Jeff character. That I'm rude, snarky or whatever shouldn't affect a company's goodwill. He represents Chaosium, a big fish in the rpg pond, and should treat every customer with courtesy, just like the cashier at McDonalds should.

What do you think would happen if you went into McDonalds and told everyone in there how much you hate Islam and said fuck you to them?

I think it would depend on where that McDonalds is.

GOS you also have a very very confrontational posting style. Refuse to stop when asked and then quintuple down and make things worse. Just a few months ago you acted like a total child because in one thread here simply because posters like myself called you out on your poor behavior and refusal to provide an echo chamber. So your not a victim and don't try to paint yourself as one imo.

Here is an unwritten rule being a paying customer in no way shape or form entitles one to be rude to any company nor is any company going to put up with it. The first your allowed to do so by the constitution not entitled to do so. The second allows a company to do the same.

Nu-Chaosium has not impressed me with what they include as questionable sojus material in their products. Not that huge a fan of the system either. Just like you have a write to voice your displeasure on their forums they like it or not can ban your from theirs. I have a corner store near my house that has been open for years and the owners have known me since I was a child and even came to my dad funeral when he passed. If I tried to act rudely and hide behind free speech they would tell me to get the fuck out and never come back.

Would that store ban you for a month because you didn't like a little Sharia advice?

I hope brp central isn't 100% muslim, so here is a slightly different analogy: If somebody in line gave me some Sharia advice (bacon BAD) I would tell them to shove their Islam up their ass, and if Jeff the cashier had anything to say about it, I would tell him to fuck off too.

Seems to me that YOU are the sensitive one... running over here to sell your story of how you were mistreated.
Meanwhile, why would a company want to host uncontested bigots on their site? If they say nothing it might appear they share your opinion. I'd certainly toss you out of my shop if you were ranting about such things.

If that is the same Yog-Sothoth of ages past then consider yourself fortunate and don't go back.
Just checked. Yep. That is them.

I worked for an Adventist health care system for years. They didn't serve pork and encouraged their diet for all (employees and patients). Did I have a hussy fit about it? No, but I did bring some precooked microwavable bacon to keep in the employee fridge for myself and my team to add to the near-tasteless grilled chicken sandwiches the hospital pushed. Nobody got butthurt, nobody got told to fuck off,  and those that wanted it got tasty bacon. Learn to live in peace with others or make peace with being treated poorly when behaving poorly.

Being an asshole is just as natural as being a fanboy. But I did give them constructive critique too. But those threads got locked, as far as I can recall. On the 19th of August I won a little prize because I had the most liked content of them all and I got my first week ban just a day after that or a couple of days later. Maybe I riled up the paypigs abit too much and found out that other's shared similar views regarding cover art/layout, etc, something MOB disliked?

I have plenty of experience in dealing with hostile people,  and it doesn't come from YouTube. If you think YouTube is a source of learning how to deal with people, then you are setting yourself up for continued failure.

Whether being an asshole is natural or not,  it is something you can consciously control. I'm not saying you shouldn't shit; I'm saying when you do shit, do it in a toilet, wipe your ass when you're done, and wash your hands. None of those steps are necessarily natural,  but they are expected in civilized settings.

Selling my story how I have been mistreated, lol? I think I recognize your nickname from some other forum. Aren't you on Yog-sothoth too? As I recall, you probably liked some of my posts. Well, I can't check that anymore, but I do recognize your nickname. But maybe my memory fails me, maybe you're just another Chaosium fanboy, trying to score bonus points with Jeff-the-not-so-creative-director.

And here comes the beloved bigot card into play again. I'm a bigot because I don't buy into the "religion of peace" BS? Why don't you take a good look at the world and wake the fuck up?

A woman mentioned her islamic crap first, and I told her Islam and Sharia wasn't my thing. And you can hardly toss your own cookies, let alone 270 lbs of angry Swede.

But you did eat your pork although the Adventists pushed tasteless chicken on you. I not only eat my pork, I proclaim it to be juicy and tasty. That's not a hissy fit. A hissy fit is people becoming upset when I tell them that I don't want their tasteless chicken and suspending me for it.

Well, I decided to be banned so I can't go back even if I wanted to. But your comment is interesting? Why should I consider myself fortunate? Spill the beans now.:D

Seems you have a bigot on your friends list. I just checked my friends list and you're on it. My friend.

Quote...And I was called a bigot. I'm atheist.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. You can be a bigot and be an atheist. And, for the record, you've admitted on these very forums to being bigoted. We just don't ban or ostracize you for it here.
The more clichéd my group plays their characters, the better. I don't want Deep Drama™ and Real Acting™ in the precious few hours away from my family and job. I want cheap thrills, constant action, involved-but-not-super-complex plots, and cheesy but lovable characters.

I probably stated that I was slightly homophobic and that I don't like the LGBTQ-movement. You seem to have detailed files so you know. But I have no irrational fear of Islam. I have a real, rational fear based on numerous atrocities. Just be glad that they aren't the majority in your country.
