This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I love randomly generated characters. Here's something quick and dirty off the top of my head.

4d6 drop the HIGHEST for stats (add or subtract d6s for flavor)

Maybe make 5 lists of 36 different skills (related to genre) and do a 10's and 1's roll with D6's (ie 11,12,13,14,15,16,21, ... etc.) to determine their skills randomly. They all begin at 9.

Do 1 list for both an advantage and a list for a disadvantage.

If required for your setting add a template now.

I think it's a good skeleton. Season as required :D
