This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Anyone here a fan of FGU’s Bushido? Building a campaign at the moment.

Favorite 25-30mm minis? Have you got a source in the USA?

Yes, loved that game, though I have no one to play it with these days. If I were you, re: miniatures, look into 3D printing. There are some really good .stl files of Japanese themed mini's that can be had for a pittance if you are willing to print them yourself. They are far and away better than any of the older style white metal mini's that were around at the time Bushido came out.

If you want some buildings, Black Site Studio has some nice Japanese stuff in 28mm.

Legend of the Five Rings had some minis that might be appropriate.

If you have or have access to a 3D printer, save yourself a ton of money and do that.

Huge fan of the game. Although if I ran it today, I'd have to come up with a much more effective Parry system. My main piece of advice is the carefully read the status rules from page 22 and 23. These might not look like much but can greatly expand on the political and social aspect of the game and is one of the rules that I've ported over to my OD&D game.

Both Perry Miniatures and Warlord games offer wargame samurai miniatures which are fairly cheap. There are in full battle dress so they're usefulness depends on how often the characters will be wearing armor. When I first ran the game, I played it like D&D where the PCs wore armor wherever they went. But later I switched to a more Seven Samurai style where armor was used only for battles. (Hence my desire for better parry rules).
